Sugaring & Waxing

Both of these techniques of hair removal are very effective and have amazing, long-lasting results.

Sugaring

Excellent for sensitive skins. Sugaring is a natural, organic method of hair removal that has been around for hundreds of years and can be used anywhere on the body. It consists of three ingredients, and here at The Beauty Business - we make our own!

It's just sugar, water & citric acid (lemon Juice), so we know exactly what we're putting on your body.

The main benefit of sugaring is that it does not stick to the skin, only the hair. Therefore, it is able to pull the hair directly from the root. Because the sugar only gently exfoliates the skin, it can be reapplied multiple time to the same area of skin. 

Waxing

Waxing can be performed all over the body - but requires multiple types of wax. The waxes we use are usually made from resin, beeswax, oils and other additives. Due to how it's removed, some waxes can be harsh on the skin, so if you're sensitive - we'd encourage you to consider sugaring.

With any form of hair removal there is always a potential for increased sensitivity following your appointment.

Before & After

• Hair should ideally be ¼-inch long before your appointment

• A few days before your appointment, lightly exfoliate the area to remove dead skin cells and prevent ingrown hairs

• On the day of your appointment, arrive with clean, dry skin and avoid wearing any creams or perfumes

• For 24 hours after the appointment, avoid tanning, swimming, gym, sauna, jacuzzi, hot baths and any further exfoliation as all of these could aggravate the skin

• Retin-A or other topical creams

• Accutane

• Hormone replacements

• Certain antibiotics
